Kuala Lumpur, 3 April 2009 – Pavilion Kuala Lumpur hosted a grand red carpet and fashion gala filled with glitz, glamour and fabulous style on 2^nd April 2009 in conjunction with Pavilion Pit Stop and the international prestige of the Malaysian Formula 1 Grand Prix.

A stylish crowd of 600 guests dressed in couture gowns and the finest suits at Pavilion KL’s Centre Court, which was elegantly transformed into a stylish marquee in dramatic hues of red to celebrate the event’s theme of “A Night of Red, A Touch of Luxury”. 

The fashionable guests arrived to a majestic red carpet that blanketed the world-class shopping centre’s iconic Spanish steps, and were interviewed on their styling and grooming tips by Pavilion KL’s “Fashion Police” TV host and posed for the paparazzi gallery at the trendy photo wall. “It’s like a night at the Oscars,” one chic party-goer exclaimed about the grandeur look and glamorous feel of the evening.

“Pavilion KL aims to promote Asian and local fashion designers as a way of nurturing the creative talent in our region. In Malaysia we have gifted and talented fashion designers who deserve recognition amongst consumers, as a means to promote tourism to our country and to boost the local retail industry“, said Ms Joyce Yap, Acting Chief Executive Officer – Retail of Pavilion KL. 

The Fashion & Party Pit Stop at Centre Court celebrated fashion, style and excitement as part of the Pavilion Pit Stop – the place to see and be seen at this Malaysian GP season!
